In 2015, the Alyn Scholarship Fund was founded with the mission of enhancing access to better educational opportunities for Pre-K through 12th-grade students across Georgia. Through our work, we have provided over $2 million in scholarship funds to Georgia students.

Through the donations of our generous sponsors, the Alyn Scholarship Fund makes private school a financially viable option so families can provide their children with an educational environment best suited to their needs.

As an approved Student Scholarship Organization (SSO), the Alyn Scholarship Fund participates in Georgia's Education Tax Credit program. Whether you're a school, parent, corporate sponsor, or individual donor, ASF can help you meet your donation goals.

Dollar-for-Dollar Tax Credits

Your Money. Your Choice.

Wondering how the Education Tax Credit program works? How does Georgia set the program in motion? And who benefits? Here are your answers.

  • On the first working day of each year, the state of Georgia makes $120 million available for the Education Tax Credit program.
  • The tax credits are allotted to contributors on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Taxpayers and businesses who contribute get to redirect where their taxes go.
  • Contributing taxpayers and businesses get a 100% state tax credit for their contribution.
  • Ultimately, taxpayers and businesses pay no money out of pocket to provide more choices for families and students.

The Education Tax Credit program brings together taxpayers, businesses, and the Alyn Scholarship Fund to make better education a reality for Georgia students and families.

Taxpayers and businesses pay state taxes every year, and state budgets generally determine where those taxes go. With a contribution to Georgia's Education Tax Credit program, taxpayers and businesses have the power to direct their money - the money they'd pay anyway - to students and families seeking better education opportunities.

This all comes at a low, low price of zero additional cost to contributors, who receive a 100% dollar-for-dollar state tax credit for every cent of their contribution.

Empowering students and families at no additional cost to the taxpayer? It's one tax situation that makes a whole lot of sense.
